Grown in Uji, a region known for their fantastic shade-grown teas and less than 10 miles from the Kyoto Imperial Palace Gardens, our Imperial Matcha is one stellar cup of matcha. Super sweet, grassy, and invigoratingly complex while at the same time feeling refreshingly light on the palate, it succeeds where other matchas fail. Its intense jade pallor is velvety and the powder itself is fine as talc. Flavors of roasted barley and green corn, with an umami-laden hint of hard aged cheese, and a hint of milky sweetness balance out the grassy body.
