Beginning with a Taiwanese Bao Zhong oolong, then adding the essence of roasted coconut, we've achieved a delightful tropical melody reminiscent of the Polynesian islands. The large, curled, blue-green leaves of the oolong base impart a creamy body but a light floral headiness with notes of orchid and narcissus. Without the intense vegetal quality of a green tea, notes of sweet grass and vanilla linger. Then, the decadent flavor of freshly roasted coconut shines through, as if you'd taken it right out of the oven. The richness of caramel and a hint of orange blossom finish this treat with a taste and aroma that will satisfy your most discerning indulgences.

When placing an order with American Tea Room, I added a sample of their Coconut Oolong to my cart, with the thought "just in case the other company runs out, maybe this could get me by until they restock...." Well, no need for that, as American Tea Room's Coconut Oolong put my old favorite to shame!
Freshest coconut flavor you'll find other than cracking open the real thing; the Oolong tea used is divine, and when combined? Just WOW!!
Even if you're not an oolong fan, you've got to give this buttery coconut "heaven in a cup" a try!
The bao zhong oolong is a brighter and more vegetal tasting oolong and the coconut is smooth and mellow in its sweetness. Combined, it's almost like drinking coconut water cut from a fresh young coconut with a bit of toasty oolong.
You can even resteep it a couple times (Western style at least, though im sure that gong fu would let you resteep a lot), though the coconut fades away a bit by steep #3.
