SPRING 2016 HARVEST -- This Organic lightly oxidized tea was harvested in April 2016 and received the highest rating in its class: SFTGFOP1. The Arya Estate's teas are truly amazing every year, and this year's Diamond is perhaps the best example of what makes this origin and flush, as well as this particular harvest, noteworthy. Small, muted, greener tealeaves and buds hold a bold aroma of parmesan-dusted popcorn and a pervasive scent of springtime. The brew's flavor has a bright note of steamed spinach and a zing of fresh nutmeg. Under that, lies a supporting note of dry pine needles, chestnut, and effervescent sweet milk. This tea evokes fresh blooms, while also being a tea that keeps the autumn weather in mind. While a syrupy mouthfeel satiates the palate, the lighter color of the brew may have you thinking this tea is lighter in caffeine, but that wouldn't be quite true.
