SHIPPING & RETURNS

We offer free domestic shipping for orders over $50. Orders will be shipped via USPS. For other shipment options, an additional fee will be required. You can select these options at checkout.

For orders under $50, we offer shipping within the Continental U.S. for $5.95. (We determine which shipping method and ship accordingly.)

Orders to Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico subject to a $3 surcharge fee.

Feel free to pick up your order at our Downtown Los Angeles location at no extra cost, just specify that you'd like to do so during checkout.

We offer 2nd Day shipping for only $15. Overnight is also automatically provided as shipping options on our website order form. 

Please note we do not ship for delivery on Saturday or Sunday. Orders placed after 12 PM Pacific Time will be shipped the next business day. Holidays and Weekends are not business days. Orders placed on Holidays or Weekends will be shipped the next business day. Orders placed Overnight or 2nd Day will not be delivered on Holidays or weekends.

Canadian order are shipped by ground carrier for $5.95 (please allow at least a week for delivery) or via Air International (please allow up to 4 days) for $25

While we take great care in packaging our orders, accident do sometimes happen. Please email us at tea@americantearoom.com within 48 hours of receipt of your order. We will gladly process an exchange at no charge to you.

International Shipping 

At this time we do not ship outside the US and Canada.  Please contact us @ tea@americantearoom.com for more details.

Returns 

We will gladly accept a return for any reason within 30 days from the date of purchase. We cannot accept the return of opened or used tea, tea ware, or food products.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Gift cards are non-returnable or refundable.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the status of your refund. Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within seven (7) days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded or returned, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded or returned.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. We apologize if your order arrived damaged. While we take great care in packaging our orders, accident do sometimes happen. Please email us a photo of the damage item at tea@americantearoom.com within 48 hours of receipt of your order. We will gladly process an exchange at no charge to you.

Gifts 

If the item was a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift card will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves, we will issue a refund to the original purchaser.

You will be responsible for your own costs for returning your item. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. If your item was received damaged we will refund the cost of shipping, and reship the items at no additional cost.
