Lychee Tea

Although lychee fruit is a fairly novel flavor in the U.S., it has been used to aromatize tea in China for ages. In the tradition of Chinese tea scenting (which also includes jasmine green tea), we offer you the sweetly exotic flavor of tropical lychee essence and Chinese black tea. Perfumey, charcoal-black leaves yield a garnet infusion with aromas of dry leaves, tobacco, purple plums and honey. The deep flavor is a balance of berry tartness, syrupy stonefruit sweetness and earthy richness, followed by a mellow aftertaste. Even if you normally add sugar to your tea, we suggest trying Lychee straight first – you may find that its naturally honeyed flavor is all the sweetness you need.
