What are your most popular teas?

Try our caffeine-free botanicals, caffeine-free rooibos blends or our low-caffeine Earl Grey Decaf.

What sizes do your teas come in?

You can buy any of our premium loose-leaf teas in a range of sizes. Our standard size is 3.5 ounces (which is roughly 1/4 pound or 100 grams). This size comes in a light-blocking, resealable pouch. We also offer a sample size, a two-ounce bag, a seven-ounce order size and a 14-ounce order size Larger sizes are priced at a discount. Ordering seven ounces of a single tea saves you ten percent. Ordering 14 ounces of a single tea saves you 20 percent.

How many servings will I get from my tea order?

Generally, you will get 30 to 40 servings of tea from a 3.5-ounce bag. Some teas allow for multiple infusions, so you can get many more servings from them.

Our sample sizes include enough tealeaves for several cups of tea. The two-ounce size is enough for about 18 to 24 cups. The seven-ounce size provides about 60 to 80 cups of tea and a 14-ounce order includes enough tea for roughly 120 to 160 cups of tea.

How long will my tea stay fresh?

We source fresh teas from around the globe, constantly replenish our supplies with fresh teas, and take serious measures to keep our tea fresh in our Beverly Hills teashop. Once you open your tea pouch, your tea will stay optimally fresh for up to four months if stored away from heat and moisture in our resealable pouches.

Do you have tea storage containers that can keep my tea fresh longer?

Absolutely we have an extensive selection of exquisite tea canisters to help you keep your tea fresh for a year or longer.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept Paypal, American Express, Discover, Mastercard, Visa and Dinerís Club.

Do you ship tea and teaware orders?

Yes. We offer free shipping for orders over $50. For orders under $50, we offer priority USPS or FedEx Ground shipping within the U.S. for $5.95. (Based on your address and the time/day of your order, we can determine which shipping method will get your purchase to you fastest and we will ship accordingly.) Orders placed before 2 PM Pacific Time are usually sent out the same business day (Saturday and Sunday are not business days)

FedEx Overnight and FedEx International to Canada are also automatically provided as shipping options on our website order form.

Can you ship internationally?

Yes, we can ship via FedEx International. For rates, please email us at tea@americantearoom.com.

How long will it take me to receive my order?

We are open seven days a week. Orders placed before 2 PM Pacific Time are generally sent out the same business day (Saturday and Sunday are not considered business days) We send out shipments Monday through Friday and ship via priority USPS or FedEx Ground (whichever will get the package to you faster). Youíll receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information when we ship your package. In general, orders within the U.S. will arrive in two to four business days.

How do you package tea and teaware orders?

We package orders with the utmost care to ensure their safe arrival. Aesthetically speaking, all orders include coordinating tissue paper and a hand-written note.

Although we take pride in our careful packaging of teas and teaware, accidents do sometimes happen during shipping. If you find that your order was damaged during shipping, please email us at tea@americantearoom.com and we will exchange it at no charge.

Can you gift wrap my order?

Yes. During checkout, you will be given the option for gift-wrapping.

What is your exchange policy?

All food items (including tea) are non-returnable and non-exchangeable once opened. All accessories, teapots, teacups and candles are fully exchangeable if in original condition. If you would like to exchange an unopened piece of teaware or item, please email us with the reason for the exchange at tea@americantearoom.com within 48 hours of receipt of your order.

My order was damaged during shipping. What should I do?

We apologize that your order was damaged. While we take great care in packaging our orders, accident do sometimes happen. Please email us at tea@americantearoom.com within 48 hours of receipt of your order. We will gladly process an exchange at no charge to you.
