Arare Cast Iron Trivet Eggplant

Cast in iron in small batches and then finished by hand in Japan, this trivet is a fine example of Japanese craftsmanship and precision. Compared to lesser trivets, it is remarkably sturdy, lightweight and long lasting. Raised dots radiate from its center circle, increasing in size as they near the outer edge. The eggplant-colored finish is gorgeous alongside any of our black tetsubin or our 32-ounce purple "Komon-Sakura" tetsubin. It can also be mixed with more modern porcelain or glass teapots.
